Get the Gringo

Just finished watching the Blu-Ray of Get The Gringo and just wow.

Mel Gibson is bat shit crazy in real life, and he has some hits and misses when it comes to movies, and Get The Gringo is most definitely a hit. The movie was absolutely kick ass. If you have ever watched Payback, you can consider this Payback 2.

The movie is about a carrier criminal that robs 4 million dollars in the US but to escape US police crosses over to Mexico while being chased by cops and ends up in jail down there. Mexican jail depiction is absolutely absurd (or so I hope, because if even 10% of it turns out to be real that'd make it insane), and lots of action. And even when there isn't any action you are still glued to the screen waiting to see what will happen next. Lots of corruption on both US and Mexican sides.

Mel Gibson was simply awesome in this movie. The plot was great, the support characters are good and everything about this movie was awesome. The movie didn't have a SINGLE hot woman! I can't even remember a movie where they never included 1 hot chick for good measure. All the actors did SUCH a great job that the audience didn't even need to drool over a hot chick to enjoy the movie.

IMDB rating of 7.2 and my personal rating of 10! This is a MUST watch.

American Pie: Reunion

Today I watched the Blu-Ray of American Pie: Reunion.

Was great seeing all the original American Pie members back together. The other American Pie movies that didn't have them really sucked.

The gang gets back together for their High School reunion, 13 years after their graduation rather than 10 yrs. Everyone's all grown up, married or with kids or just cool jobs.

There was 2 nudity moments, one for Jim's cock and the other a 18 yrs old chick who was naked and she was SMOKING hot. Like Chris Rock says, "20 yrs old titties are community titties  everyone should see them. A 40 yrs old titties are only your man's titties, no one else should have to look at that shit".

Stiffler's mom hooks up with Jim's father and at near the end of the movie, Stiffler gets his revenge and both Finch and Stiffler are now "motherfuckers".

IMDB rating of 7.1 and a personal rating of 8.0.

The Raven

I am a John Cusack fan, so I was drawn to watch The Raven because of him. He's a good actor and seem to chose his roles carefully, hence tending to be involved in good movies.

The Raven is about the famous american poet Edgar Allan Poe. Poe, in real life, was deranged shortly before he died, saying the name "Reynolds" for no reason, and the movie explores the life of the poet and explores a possible, but really really not plausible, reason for why Poe was saying "Reynolds" on his last moments.

Not great names on the cast other than Cusack, but surely great performances. I'm not big into historical or anything with those old times, but this movie was really fun to watch. Since it was EXTREMELY loosely based in real life, I can say it wasn't a happy ending and it wouldn't be spoiling it since Poe died young in real life.

IMDB rating of 6.5, and my personal rating of 8.0.
